Tail Wagging Gifts is an online gift-giving program that offers animal lovers a fun unique way to send a very special ‘symbolic’ gift to a friend, family member or loved one. Your gift recipient will be touched, but the best part is you can both feel great about how this gift is helping animals in need.

A Tail Wagging Gift is a donation that will go directly to help the thousands of sick, injured and unwanted animals cared for by The Toronto Humane Society™.

Tail Wagging Gifts will brighten the lives of an animal currently being cared for by The Toronto Humane Society™, keeping their belly full and tail wagging.

How do I select a Tail Wagging Gift?
You can choose the gift you would like to give by visiting www.TailWaggingGifts.ca – simply choose one or more gifts, add them to your shopping cart, and use your credit card to check out. Once you’ve completed your Tail Wagging Gift selection, you can pick a card to send to someone you wish to honour.

For what occasions can I send a Tail Wagging Gift?
Tail Wagging Gifts are perfect for any occasion! Whether it’s to celebrate any holiday, birthday, wedding or anytime you want to share a smile with a friend or family member. We will update Tail Wagging Gifts for every season.

How do Tail Wagging Gifts help the animals?
Your donation will brighten the lives of the animals currently being cared for by The Toronto Humane Society™, keeping belly’s full and tails wagging.

The donation which you make by selecting a Tail Wagging Gift, will go directly to the care of thousands of sick, injured and abandoned animals, 24 hours a day – every day of the year. With your help, The Toronto Humane Society™ is able to continue to feed, shelter, and provide medical care to any animal who needs our help.

Will I receive a tax receipt?
All donations of $20.00 or more will automatically receive a tax receipt, sent via email.

We are a not-for-profit charitable organization and receive no government funding, relying solely on the generous support of animal lovers like you. Our Charitable Registration number is 11925 9513 RR0001.

Does my gift really go toward the purchase of the item(s) described?
Tail Wagging Gifts are donations to the animals cared for by The Toronto Humane Society™. The gift values and descriptions accurately describe the range of care that we provide to the animals each day. We use your donation and the other gifts made for the most urgent needs for the animals – whether it’s food, medical care etc. Your gift goes directly to supporting the thousands of animals which come through the doors of our shelter here at 11 River Street.

How does the person I select the gift for get notified?
Once you select a Tail Wagging Gift, you will have the option to send a card by email to the gift recipient (within 24hrs). Or if you prefer to download a card, a downloadable file can be printed and given to the recipient by you.

What kind of cards do you offer?
You can choose either an electronic card (e-card) that can be sent via email or a downloadable card which you can print to give to your recipient.

Can I put a personal message in the card?
Yes, you can include a personal message in the e-card, or add a personal message when you print the pdf card.

Can I get one card for multiple gifts?
With each gift you can send one card.

Who is The Toronto Humane Society™ and what do they do?
The Toronto Humane Society™ does whatever it takes for all animals.

Since 1887, The Toronto Humane Society has grown in leaps and bounds, saving thousands of animals each year. Our mission is to promote the humane care and protection of all animals and to prevent cruelty and suffering.

The day-to-day operations of The Toronto Humane Society emphasize the shelter and return of lost pets, care and hospital services for abused and abandoned animals, adoptions to good homes, and wildlife rehabilitation and release. The shelter is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for any animal who needs us.
